Sheldon Season Update

23:19 23 April in Uncategorized

Sheldon and Team 93 took on the World of Outlaws West Coast Swing prepared and confident. After 17 races on the season, Sheldon currently sits 7th in the World of Outlaws points standings. He scored 5 top 5’s, and 9 top 10’s, finding his highest career WoO finish early on at LoneStar Speedway in Kilgore, TX.

Team 93 took Thunderbowl Raceway by storm in March, with back-to-back 4th place finishes. Sheldon earned his first Hard Charger Award of the season at Tulare, surging from 19th to 4th. He repeated his best performance in California, finding himself on the podium once again at Perris Auto Speedway.

The Outlaws returned to the Midwest, greeted by double rainouts on the weekend, washing out Pevely, MO and forcing a reschedule for West Memphis, AR (Now on May 3).

After the rainout, Sheldon returned to his home track, Wayne County Speedway, to compete with the All Star Circuit of Champions. Sheldon started 6th, quickly gaining the lead, and taking his first win in 2017. He found himself on the podium with his dad, Jac (3rd) for the first time in their careers. With Sheldon’s win, he now holds the record for the most ASCOC feature wins at Wayne County Speedway. He was formerly tied with Joey Saldana.

Team 93 will return to WoO action on April 28 in Plymouth, IN.
