S. Haudenschild, Pittman to Raise Donations at World Finals
World of Outlaws Craftsmen Sprint Car Series full-time drivers, Sheldon Haudenschild and Daryn Pittman are taking donations for hometown charities at The 2017 World Finals in Charlotte, N.C. The World Finals are held at The Dirt Track At Charlotte November 2-4.
Non-perishable food items will be collected for the Light and Life Free Methodist Church Food Pantry, providing low-income households with food for children during holiday breaks. The food pantry is located near the Pittman residence. Daryn’s wife, Mandy, expanded: “In light of everything going on in the world, we felt it was important to give back to the community. The food pantry does an excellent job providing those in need with meals in an especially difficult time, during the holiday season.” A discount of $1 per non-perishable food item will be applied up to 5 items donated per shirt.
Donate a race tee, and receive $5 off of a new race tee or hoodie from Sheldon or Daryn. T-shirts or hoodies in good condition, of all sizes, can be turned in at the Great Clips Trailer, and will go to AmVETS of Ohio. AmVETS is an organization that helps provide for those who have served honorably. Sheldon feels strongly about donating to a Veteran charity locally: “We all have plenty of race shirts in our closets. What better way to give back, than to share what we have for those who have bravely served? Our Nations active military and Veterans have sacrificed on a daily basis, let’s help in what little way we can to give back to true heroes.”
All donations can be dropped off in the vendor area near the main grandstands at The Dirt Track at Charlotte at the Great Clips merchandise trailer.
Donations will be delivered to respective charities following World Finals.
