HAUDENSCHILD TO EXTEND WA TOUR
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 1/4/15
Sheldon Haudenschild, son of revered sprint car driver Jac Haudenschild, arrived in Perth, Western Australia with a gear bag and a new passport. He joined Keen Race Team for a series of three races on his first trip to Australia. Sheldon, an experienced driver out of Wooster, Ohio USA began his career as a dirt bike rider, and has had no problem transitioning to four wheels. His rookie sprint car season began in 2009.
Keen Race Team crew chief, Allan Nash proposed an additional opportunity behind the wheel, this time for his team, Allan Nash Racing. Team driver, the young AJ Nash opted out of the SAWA 360 State Title at Quit Collie Speedway, allowing a more experienced driver to borrow his ride.
On January 10, 2015 Haudenschild will step behind the wheel for the final time in Western Australia at Quit Collie Speedway, in hopes of gaining the Nash team a state title. “The trip to Australia has given me the chance to race at new tracks on the other side of the world. Allan Nash has been kind enough to take me in, and now give me the opportunity to race his 360. I’m looking forward to competing at another venue”, said Haudenschild. The Nash Racing #51 machine is supported by: Keens Truck Driver Training, HA Young Plumbing, and CLW Earthmoving.
Haudenschild will return to Sydney after rounding out the four-race stint in the Perth area. He will reconvene with the Keen Race Team for The Classic at the end of January, ending his Australian tour.
